How often do I feed a Puppy?

I have a 5 month old Yorkshire Terrier.

How may times a day should he be fed? I've been feeding him 4 times a day and think it might be time to cut it down.

He's a great little pup apart from the occasional accident on the carpet. lol

Good question!

A puppy’s feeding schedule is often somewhat dictated by our own personal schedules.

As a general rule and this will vary, puppies under six months of age should be fed three to five times daily; between six and twelve months old, two times daily; and once per day after twelve months of age.

You can also get an indication also by reading the label of the dog food you are using (unless you are cooking homemade meals of course).
